Today, it was our pleasure to welcome Vera Tax. Vera is a recent graduate of Wheaton North, an enthusiastic four year member of the school's Flight Show Choir, and will shortly begin attending Cornell University. Her presentation provided us with an overview of the choir and her experiences in it.
Consisting of singer/dancers under the direction of Kassy Krause, Flight is extracurricular and self funded. Each season's show requires months of practice. In addition to their annual showcase (Flight Fest) at Wheaton North, Flight travels to compete with other schools: In 2025 they travelled to Bettendorf (IA), Huntington (IN), and Quincy (IL) in addition to local competitions at Naperville North and Wheaton Warrenville South.
