Today, our guest speakers were Dorothy (Dottie) Mackie (Chair - City of Wheaton Band Commission) and Don Cavalli (Board President - Wheaton Municipal Band & band clarinet player). 
They shared with us some of the history of the band, its operations, funding, and upcoming schedule of perfomances
Since 1930, the band has been a popular fixture in our community. With one exception, performances are held in Memorial Park with the first being on June 9 at 7:30 PM, and the season concluding on August 4. The location exception is the July 9, 8:00 PM performance in the Edman Chapel at Wheaton College. The full schedule can be found on the band's website: https://wheatonmunicipalband.org/
