Today, our guest speaker was the Mayor. His presentation dealt with the city's budget, current projects, and ongoing developments including:
- French Market: construction is finally nearing completion
- Former bank building at Roosevelt Rd.& Naperville Rd.: construction is pending for a health clinic
- Vacant car dealer building on Roosevelt Rd: property has been sold, and is to be developed as a storage facility
- Vacant buildings on Willow Avenue at Main Street: demolition in process was ordered by the City
- 214 W. Front St.: being developed as a restaurant
- Hale Street & Liberty Drive block: redevelopment was approved and construction is pending
