Today, our guest speaker was Jon Nadel.
While Club members have long taken advantage of the many performances at The Mac, it is nice to be reminded of the diversity and quality of the offerings available since 1986 - seven days a week, 52 weeks a year:
- Cleve Carney Museum of Art
- Professional shows: the Performance Series, the Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, the New Phil harmonic, and the Lakeside Pavilion outside concerts
- College (student) shows: art work, music, dance and theater
Coming this summer is a major exhibition of never seen before in the U.S. artworks from the Chiossone Collection of the Museum of Oriental Art, Genoa, Italy. In addition to the artwork, the exhibition will include several interactive areas, including a multi-media historical display, peaceful Japanese garden, anime exhibit, children’s area and interactive Edo experiences including period garments such as Shogun and Kabuki fashion replicas, and more.
