Today, our guest speaker was Jennifer Merck, Immediate Past President of  the Student Excellence Foundation (SEF).

The Student Excellence Foundation for Wheaton-Warrenville District 200 was founded in 1992 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is run primarily by parent and community volunteers to serve the  educators and students in Wheaton-Warrenville CUSD 200. Its mission is to engage the community to enrich educational experiences that empower students to reach their greatest potential. To do so, SEF provides the teachers, staff, students, and their families with additional classroom resources including:
  • Classroom grants for educators.
  • Mobile food pantries and weekend food backpacks that feed those in our community who are experiencing food insecurity.
  • Crowd-funding platform that offers opportunities for teachers, LLC Directors, school staff, and principals to fund special projects and unique enrichment opportunities.
  • Scholarships for students headed to college or technical school.
