7/27/22
Rotary operates on a 7/1-6/30 calendar year, and this entails a change in the volunteer executives at the club, district, national, and international levels. Today, our guest speaker was Bill Kmiecik, Governor - District 6440.
Rotary districts exist to support the local clubs, and are predominantly staffed by volunteers. District 6440 ( https://rotary6440.org/) includes some 60 clubs. Bill is a fifteen year member of the Arlington Heights club, and in his introductory remarks told us of his Rotary involvements, the amazing people he has met/worked with, and how this engagement has made him more compassionate person. His goals for the year include promoting the 2022-2023 Presidential Initiatives.

Presidential Initiatives: 2022-2023 Rotary International President Jennifer Jones imagines a Rotary where members act to make their dreams become reality and make the most of their club experiences. During her year, Jones will focus on four presidential initiatives that Imagine Rotary: advancing our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI); creating a welcoming club experience; empowering girls; and expanding our reach.
