Today, our guest speaker was Alyssa Clemens Vejendla with Clemens Enterprises, Inc. (https://clemens-enterprises.com/), an independent Medicare agency based in Westmont, IL and Naples, FL.
Effective 2025, there are significant changes in the Medicare Part D program:
- The Coverage Gap (Donut Hole) is being replaced with the Manufacturer Discount Program
- A payment plan is available for Out-of-Pocket prescription drug costs
However, while Out-of-Pocket prescription drug costs are capped at $2,000 (presently $3,250) there are expected to be significant changes in Medicare Drug Coverage Plans: premium increases, and plan designs (including changes to formularies and the drug tiers).
