Today, our guest speaker was Jason Spencer, Executive Director - Innovation & Technology at CUSD 200.
With the proliferation of news about A.I. and numerous A.I. websites being available (including Open A.I., Adobe Firefly, Chat GPT, Microsoft Edge, Google Gemini, etc.), the presentation was a definite "eye opener" for the attendees.
- A. I. is in its infancy, and is rapidly evolving. As it is based on data available in the internet, A.I. will develop (learn/adjust) as more users make use of it.
- A. I. delivers near instantaneous results, but is error prone.
- A. I. can efficiently deal with routine tasks. For example: instructions and presentations being available in multiple languages.
- Plagiarism, copyright infringement, fake photos, and fake information are huge issues.
