Today, we had a joint meeting with the Wheaton Rotary Club at Arrowhead Golf. As both clubs have received fund raising support from FT Cares Foundation, this was an excellent opportunity to have Lisa Weier, President - FT Cares Foundation as our guest speaker.
What it is: First Trust Cares Foundation (https://www.ftcaresfoundation.org/) was created in 2006 by a group of First Trust Portfolios (https://www.ftportfolios.com/) employees, including James Bowen - CEO, as a way to “give back”. Both entities are headquartered at 120 E. Liberty Drive, Wheaton. Shortly before April 24, 2022, in the Foundation's eleventh year, it was announced that $3 million dollars had been donated locally, nationally and globally to over 325 charity organizations. Donations to the Foundation are primarily from employees, with additional support from the Light The Torch 5K Run & Walk held in September.
