Our wide ranging discussions of accepting and addressing diversity (racial, gender, sexual, national origin, etc.) emphasized the importance and rewards of recognizing, accepting, and respecting others different from ourselves. Confronting disrespectful behavior is difficult, but doing nothing effectively condones such behavior.
