Today, our guest speaker was Heidi King from College Inside Track (CIT).
CIT provides families with expert advice and assistance to help them sort through the complex college process to select the schools with the right fit for the student, at the best price, and with the best options for financial aid. This is significant considering the enormous cost of financing college education: the average college-related debt for both parents and child combined is nearly $50,000.
.CIT's process begins with the student's self assessment & determination of key college criteria, and a review of the parent finances, all to sort out target colleges that fit the academic, social, and financial needs. The process includes essay coaching, school application assistance, and financial aid assistance (federal and non-federal).
According to CIT, only 4% of their students transfer, compared to the national average of 38%, and that 97% of their students get accepted to at least 1 of their top 3 choices.
