Jim Swackhamer dies
 
Jim Swackhamer graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Economics and from Harvard Graduate School of Business with an MBA. During WWII he served in the Quartermaster Corps and achieved the rank of major. Jim was the financial vice president for the U.O. Colson Company in Paris, IL, where he worked for 22 years. He retired from Touche Ross now Deloitte and Touche) in Chicago, IL where he served as the executive administrator for 15 years.

Jim's love of music led him to direct the Paris Presbyterian Church Choir for 15 years. He remained an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton. He was very involved in Rotary for 57 years, serving as President of the Rotary club of Paris, treasurer of Rotary One of Chicago, and was honored with the Rotarian of the Year in Wheaton three times. He also received the first Lifetime Achievement Award from the Central DuPage AM club in 2005.

Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian and is survived by his wife, Jane, four daughters, nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
