Our annual club Dinner was again held at the Ivy Restaurant. The festivities were led by President (2021-2022) Dan Boyer, and Immediate Past President (2020-2021) Kaitlyn Wild.
This annual event celebrates the accomplishments of the past club year, recognizes local businesses for their contributions to our community, and recognizes club members for their service to the club.
The Downtown Wheaton Association was the recipient of our Business of the Year award. Attending on behalf of the DWA was former Executive Director Ellie Withall, and Board President Tonya Parravano.
The Rotarian of the Year award is selected by the club president: Immediate Past President Kaitlyn Wild selected Joe McCarthy in recognition of his many years as club treasurer, and President Dan Boyer selected Kaitlyn Wild for her service as club president for her leadership during the first year of the pandemic.
Also recognized was Bob Rammer for his service as club President (2019-2020), and those club members who have made significant contributions to the Rotary Foundation.
