April 30: As part of National Rebuilding Day, members of three Rotary clubs (Wheaton AM, Aurora AM, and Batavia) joined with members of Rebuilding Together Aurora (RTA) to make home repairs on one of the several homes RTA selected for National Rebuilding Day.
Rebuilding Together Aurora (http://www.rtaurora.org/) provides free critical home repairs for homeowners. RTA assists low-income families, military veterans, senior citizens and people with disabilities by creating safe environments in which they can maintain their independence and live safe and healthy lives.In addition to accessorizing the bathroom for the handicapped homeowner, we filled a dumpster as part of clearing out out the two car garage, and got a start on landscaping improvements.
